Gameloft
Gameloft is a French video game company founded in December 1999 by Michel Guillemot, a co-founder of Ubisoft. Headquartered in Paris, it has become a global developer and publisher with 18 studios worldwide, focusing primarily on mobile gaming while also producing games for consoles and PC. Gameloft was an early pioneer in mobile gaming, launching its first mobile game in 2000 and adapting popular console and PC franchises for mobile devices.
The company has developed a wide range of games, with notable franchises including Asphalt, Dungeon Hunter, and Modern Combat, as well as licensed titles like Prince of Persia and Spider-Man. Recent releases include Disney Dreamlight Valley and Asphalt Legend Unite. Gameloft also features Gameloft Live, a community platform that enhances player engagement through online multiplayer gaming and social interaction.
With hundreds of millions of downloads across over 100 countries, Gameloft serves a diverse customer base of casual and hardcore gamers. Originally a subsidiary of Ubisoft, it became publicly traded and was acquired by Vivendi in 2016, continuing to be a significant player in the gaming industry.
